Me in Maine this summer

About Me

Hi, My name is Kathleen Shaw and I currently work in a daycare center with Toddlers. I'm also going to I.U.P.U.I working on my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. I have a cat named Jetta and we have other 2 other cats named Velvet and Mickey. As well as, 2 dogs named Coco and Dixie. My experience making this blog was a bit frustrating at first since it was my attempt to make one. After I figured out to adjust the margins (I know silly me) everything turned out just fine. So if all the items don't fit on the side margins remember to adjust the margins. I had to make one side bigger than the other to get mine to all fit. It was actually, alot easier than I thought it would be to get the PowerPoint presentation and to get the Flickr pictures to post on my blog. So after all, everything worked out just fine. Enjoy my blog and please leave comments. Have a wonderful day!!

Emergent Technology 1

I created a Roxio Slideshow of cakes I have decorated. It's a fun hobby I enjoy doing and wish I had more time to do it.  The Roxio Slideshow is a great website that you can add photos to and then make a background and you have an online photo album that is online and can be shared with all of your friends near and far.

Yes this technology of using the Roxio Slideshow is very user friendly and wish I would of came across it before now. I would of used it for many occassions to make photo albums for friends and family. Or used it to make Christmas gifts using this program etc. What a great idea and you can even get the slideshow you created on a DVD or get it made into a book!! How Cool!!

The first step to create this Roxio Slideshow is to find your pictures and upload to the Roxio. Then once the pictures are downloaded you just click on what background you want and can choose from several different ones. Then you can add a caption to each picture and add a "bubble to make word bubbles" to each photo in the album. Then you can post the link onto Facebook or Blogger etc to share with your friends and family. Very easy to create and share with everyone.
I wish this Roxio Slideshow had more background to chose from instead of having to be a member of the Roxio Slideshow program.  Also too bad there isn't more border selections to make the slideshow stick out.

Other than that, this Roxio program is great and I would definately recommend it to my friends and family.  Like I said before, I wish I would of known about this program so that I could created photo albums of my pets and vacations.  Now I can have fun and create photo albums and even post them on Blogger, Facebook,Twitter, or Myspace.

  3. I used Roxio PhotoShow also. I haven't had the opportunity yet to create a DVD or to make a book, but I love that it offers so much more than just the slideshow. Have fun creating photo albums. Melissa

  5. I really like your slide show about your switzerland trip. It was neat to learn more about it. Your furry children are so cute! I have a cat, myself, and I find that she really enriches my life. I can only imagine how four would be! I also had some trouble with building the blog at first. I'm not very technology oriented, but in time I should be able to get it down. Hang in there, it will get easier! Have fun blogging!
